Baby Kate!

I have a NEW SISTER!

Her name is Kate Margaret Meister, and boy is she CUTE. She was born on February 21st, in the morning. She was just a little bit bigger than I was when I was born, but I am sure she wont catch up to me for quite some time. She is pretty tiny.

Mom keeps telling me that she will get more fun, but right now all she does is cry. She does like it when I give her kisses, and when I sing the baby song to her. But she sure doesn't like it when I climb up on the table and pat her on the face! I guess its cause mom says she is fragile right now. I sure hope she isn't fragile forever, cause I really want to play with her.

Aside from having a new sister, I have all sorts of fun things I can do. I have learnt so many new words. And I understand so much of what mom and dad tell me. Lately I have been counting to 5, and I know most of my body parts. Eyes, EYES, eyes! I am a much better listener now, so mom lets me WALK down to the car to get in, so long as I hold her hand. I also know lots of animals and what kinds of sounds they make. My favorite is still a Gog, which mom and dad know as a dog. I would love to get my hands on a Gog.

Trip To Grandma's House

I just got back from a very fun trip visiting my Aunties and Grandma! We had so much fun. I was into ALOT of stuff that I shouldn't have been. I was so out of whack that I even got to SLEEP with mom a few nights in a row! Just for the mornings though.

Its much colder at Grandma's house than it is at our house, they had all sorts of SNOW! I had never even gotten to play in the snow before, but I finally got to play in it. I am not sure if its as great as it seems, its pretty cold, and pretty wet... I DID really like to see my foot prints in it though, and it was cool to see it build up on the front of my boots.

I even got to have a really nice visit with my friend Ryder, and his new little sister Kyle. But of course my mom being as silly as she is brought the camera and forgot to even take ONE picture of our visit. She was too busy eating all the icecream cake, which I got NONE of!

I really had alot of fun visiting my Grandma and Aunties, and I will really miss them. I will certainly look forward to seeing them when my new sister comes in a month!!!

Merry Christmas

Less than a week before Christmas, and yesterday I got to meet Santa! I was really brave and didn't even cry. Mom was really happy about that, cause she said she wasn't dressed to sit on Santa's lap and have HER picture taken too.

From the sounds of things though, this Santa guy is pretty important to have like you. I hear he gives out all sorts of gifts to good girls and boys. I am sure that I will be on the good list this year, as long as I keep my fits to a minimum!

The Wonderful Life of a 1 Year OLD!

Lots has happened since I wrote my last post, but I have been so busy with all my new things that I have barely had time to sit! Cause I am usually running around exploring.

Just in case you didn't know already, I AM ONE! Birthdays are really cool, everyone sits around and sings to you, and you get to eat CAKE! That was the yummiest thing ever! I got to have a really nice visit with two of my Grandma's for my birthday, AND I got to see my Aunties!
I am learning all sorts of new words, I say Ta Ta, even though Dad says thats a parent word :) and I say, Dada, Mama, PaPa, Hi, and I say Ba for ball. Even as a special treat the other day I grabed mom by the head and gave her a kiss without her even asking, she sure liked it.

Mom seems to be getting quite the belly these days, she keeps telling me theres a baby in there, but all I like is to pinch and spank her big belly. I wonder what she is talking about BABY? I thought I was the baby.

I would love to chat more, but Mom and I have TONS of laundry to get into, so I had better go so I can 'help'.

WHATS NEW?!?!?!

Hello!~

Ok, I know I said last time that it had been a long time, but NOW its been a long time!

So, incase you haven't heard I am so grown now! I have 7 teeth, I stand, crawl, clap, dance, wave, kiss, and today I took 7 steps without holding on to ANYTHING!

We have done all sorts of new fun things also, last week we went to the beach AND the PNE. I had alot of fun at both. I think my favorite was my trip to the beach, that sand is really neat.

Mom said now that I am so old I will have some responsibilities. My biggest responsibility soon will be to teach my baby brother or sister all the things I have learnt so far. I can't wait!

There is so much to catch up on, so I think I will just show you some of the pictures from the last few months!

Its been a while....

Has it not been too long?

I have been SO busy! I have so many exciting things I have been doing.

Between the Aquarium, my good friend Evie, and all the exciting things I have been learning its been really hard to keep up with this.

First things first, I HAVE TWO TEETH! All the better to BITE you with! And I will, its fun to figure out what is soft to bite and what is too hard, moms hand... soft, moms cell phone.... too hard.

Second, I can sit down if I have to. The other day mom put on my favorite show, Baby Einsteins, Baby Beethoven. And I watched it for a whole half hour without falling once.

I can almost crawl also, its alot of fun, I lay down, and go up on my hands and knees and rock back and forth. Sometimes I can even get some motion going that helps me bunny hop around. That way I can get where and WHAT I want.

A little while ago, I went to the aquarium with Evie and her Mom Kelsey. They are really nice, Evie and I even went SWIMMING (but another time, not at the AQUARIUM!!!!!) She taught me how to kick! At the aquarium we saw sharks, turtles, giant fish, turtles makin babies, red birds, snakes, spiders.... and the list goes on. There was a big group of us, from moms "mom site" There were so many of us that we couldn't stay all together.

I am off to bed, I am so tired from all my chewing, sitting and practicing to crawl!

But not tired enough to forget to mention that I am going to visit my grandma in Vernon! And all my Aunties! I haven't seen them in SUCH A LONG TIME, I was so tiny then, but I am much more fun, I had only just learned about TOES AND MOTORCYCLES back then!
